Day 30 Elgin to Baldur 83km

After not getting much sleep because of noisy campers and that darn old headwind I didn't get as far as I wanted today but I did find this great little campground in Baldur. It doesn't have hot water or showers but the water is very cold and tastes great. It is refreshing to have my mini bath using the portable sink.
The roadway along Hwy 23 is atrocious. I wouldn't drive my car along it. Although there was a little traffic today. There were short gravel sections which were easy to navigate on a bicycle. Sometimes there were huge potholes that could easily ruin a cars' front end.
I'm liking this part of the Prairies as there are trees and hills and a little colour thrown in. I found central Saskatchewan a bit monotonous.
It's now been a month since I left home.
It does get lonely. I do get homesick. It's not been easy. But at times it's been amazing. Fun. Worthwhile.
The sun has now set and it's cooling off. I've got the campsite to myself. Here's hoping for a good nights sleep.
