Day 33 Steinbach Manitoba Rest Day #5

It was a day of rest, laundry, walking the main street (Main Street), and, of course, grocery shopping.
There wasn't much to see in downtown Steinbach. There's a bike shop but it wasn't open until 12 and a couple of coffee shops. For a tourist there isn't much. The highway out of town has the usual car dealers, fast food places and big box stores.
I found out that alcohol is not served in restaurants, and I never saw a pub or tavern. Apparently there is a referendum on the 26th about whether alcohol should be served in restaurants.
You get to learn all sorts of stuff on this blog.
And you just thought you'd sit there.
The afternoon's heat was a bit much so I cancelled my idea of going to the Mennonite Village. That much heat sucks the energy out of you.
Tomorrow looks like it will be cooler and windy. The wind will be coming from the West which should work in my favour. The ride up Hwy 12 might be a bit of a struggle but it's only 20 km.
Onward to Ontario.
